Congratulations, GED graduates!

On Saturday, June 19, the graduation ceremony was held for 19 students who successfully completed the GED program in Spanish, which Providence Community Library offers free of charge to the Latino community.  Teachers Deysy Delgado, Emilia Perez and Hipolio Reyes addressed the students with words of congratulations and good wishes for their future. The Mayor of Providence, Mr. Jorge Elorza, was also present, congratulating the graduates and motivating them to continue their studies until they achieve their goals. Obtaining a GED gives the students the opportunity to continue into higher education, obtain better job opportunities, start an own business and improve the standard of living for themselves and their families.This program is funded by the City of Providence and Providence Community Library.
