Fun and Learning To Go: More Takeaway Bags!

While winter is upon us and in-person library programs are on hold, you can always rely on our resourceful library staff to find a way to keep kids - and, in some cases, adults - occupied with creative, artsy and educational activities! Here are just a few of the takeaway options on offer this month around at Mount Pleasant, Rochambeau, South Providence and Washington Park. The list is not exhaustive, so be sure to ask what's available at your neighborhood location.

Your New Bookplates in Our Collection!

Providence Community Library sends a huge thank you to the hundreds of library supporters who donated to our end of year campaign and took the opportunity to dedicate a special bookplate to themselves, a friend or family member! Philanthropy Director Michael Bordonaro is issuing the personalized bookplates to all the generous donors who gave. The first two bookplates were placed in books at Rochambeau and Washington Park: don't they look great?

Virtual FUNDAFEST Includes Three PCL Events

It's January, so it's time for FUNDA FEST! The Rhode Island Black Storytellers (RIBS) will once again astonish, educate and entertain us with a nine-day festival of storytelling featuring more than 25 artists and 12 virtual shows, January 23-31, 2021.
