Join psychologist David Weed, Psy.D. for a free 90-minute presentation for those following or interested in low-carbohydrate diets for weight loss without hunger or to either control or prevent Type II diabetes. These diets emphasize limiting foods containing carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, and starchy vegetables, as well as sweets of any type while allowing satisfying amounts of meat, eggs, nuts, cheese, non-starchy vegetables, butter and cream. Dr. Weed has successfully followed a low-carb diet for the past eight years, lowering his A1c from 6.4 to 5.1, and has led low-carb support groups for the past five years. If there is sufficient interest, he will lead two additional sessions on Saturday afternoons, November 4 and 18.
Free and open to the public.
