A creative workshop on remembering & becoming from the healing paper cut of everyday weirdness, guided by local artist MJ Robinson.

PAPER PEOPLE FOR GROWNUPS is a creative workshop on remembering and becoming from the healing paper cut of everyday weirdness. Bring a friend or glide solo into this relaxed, one and a half hour crafting session. We will reminisce on early fashion choices of our younger selves and design paper dolls as manifestations of our fullest future selves.

Your guide, MJ Robinson, is an illustrator and multidisciplinary artist in the school of everyday weirdness (ew school). Their stories, drawings, and comics create portals into real and imagined worlds for kids of all ages. Lately, MJ is inspired by nature, local histories and futures, miniatures, folklore, and ghost stories. In their work as an educator and community organizer, MJ encourages playful creative visioning in movements for social justice—with a particular focus on racial and environmental justice, and LGBTQIA2S+ joy and well-being in Providence, RI and beyond.
