We will get to the root of community gardening during this discussion with experienced garden leaders from Providence and Pawtucket.
Community gardeners - come one, come all to reflect on the season together! Drought, critters, and heat waves. Panelists Tarshire Battle (Roots2Empower /Southside Community Land Trust), Fatema Maswood (Providence Seed Library), Ana Soares (Galego Garden), and Doug Victor (Peace & Plenty) will share their successes, challenges and lessons learned, offering advice for starting and sustaining vibrant community gardens. Bring questions and tips of your own to share with the group! Arrive early (5:30pm) to get a tour of the Washington Park Library’s community garden, cultivated by local teen interns and family members. This event was planned in partnership with Southside Community Land Trust.
