Summer Reading 2022: Read Beyond the Beaten Path
Kids grades K-5, join us this summer for virtual daily fun, great books, and special free performances! Earn prizes for reading 20 minutes every day.
1. Visit pvd.beanstack.com to log your reading, check out cool books and participate in fun programs. Complete the Summer Reading Challenge by reading 20 minutes a day for 40 days and be entered into the Grand Prize drawing.
3. AND have fun with Passport to Summer Learning ACTIVITY PROMPTS! Pickup starter kit of supplies when you sign up for the Summer Reading Programs at your library.
Use your Summer Reading Journal (included in the Starter Kit) to respond to or brainstorm ideas for each week’s activity prompt.
Our exciting weekly themes are: Wildlife, Stargazing, Community Action, Fantasy, Beach and Water, Survival, Engineering, and Beyond the Beaten Path. Each theme has a prompt, supplies, and ideas for activities to do at home, places to go in the community, resources to find online, and information about virtual and in-person library events.
These weekly activity bags are available every Monday beginning June 27th through August 20th, while supplies last. Complete an activity or attend an event and earn a badge and a raffle ticket to win a prize from our weekly drawing.

6. Don't forget to get your Passport to Summer Learning! Check out and print the Passport now! Earn points and badges as a reward for participating in summer learning activities.
